UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEMURNIAN DISTILAT 100D MELALUI OPTIMASI KONDISI OPERASI VDU DENGAN ASPEN HYSYS

PT NHA merupakan hasil kerja sama antara PT XX dan SK SA yang berfokus pada pengolahan Unconverted Oil (UCO) menjadi Lube Base Oil (LBO). Dalam proses produksinya, salah satu unit penting yang berperan adalah Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU), yang berfungsi memisahkan fraksi minyak berdasarkan titik didih untuk menghasilkan produk intermediet. Penelitian ini melakukan evaluasi terhadap kinerja kolom distilasi vakum (V-0101) melalui simulasi menggunakan Aspen HYSYS dengan fluid package Peng-Robinson. Simulasi tersebut digunakan untuk merepresentasikan kondisi operasi aktual berdasarkan parameter tekanan, suhu, dan laju alir dari data lapangan. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa kolom distilasi beroperasi secara stabil tanpa adanya indikasi flooding maupun weeping, serta menghasilkan profil distilat yang mendekati data laboratorium 100D. Kemurnian distilat meningkat dari 23,1% menjadi 86,7%, sementara yield total tetap sebesar 75.539 BPD. Temperature dasar kolom memiliki kondisi operasi yang optimum pada suhu 335-345°C, yang digunakan pada simulasi ini yaitu suhu optimum 342°C. Kemudian pada tekanan Top Coloumn memiliki kondisi optimum sebesar 65-75 mmHg, pada simulasi ini digunakan tekanan sebesar 70 mmHg. Hal ini menandakan bahwa model simulasi telah menggambarkan kondisi operasi dengan tingkat akurasi yang baik. Sebagai langkah pengembangan, dilakukan optimasi terhadap kondisi operasi, meliputi penyesuaian suhu VDU serta tekanan vakum pada Top Column dan Bottom Column, guna meningkatkan kemurnian produk distilat serta efisiensi proses pada unit VDU.
