ANALISIS PENGARUH WAKTU SHUT-IN TERHADAP TEKANAN SUMUR DAN PIT GAIN PADA WELL KILLING

Abstract

Waktu shut-in memegang peranan penting dalam mengendalikan kondisi sumur ketika terjadinya kick karena keterlambatan penutupan sumur dapat memperbesar influx dan meningkatkan tekanan. Pengaruh waktu shut-in terhadap perubahan tekanan sumur dan besarnya pit gain dianalisis melalui simulasi menggunakan Drilling Simulator dengan variasi shut-in antara 1 hingga 5 menit. Parameter yang diamati meliputi Shut-In Drill Pipe Pressure (SIDPP), Shut-In Casing Pressure (SICP), serta pit gain sebagai indikator volume fluida formasi yang masuk ke lubang pemboran. Proses well killing dilakukan menggunakan Wait and Weight Method, dengan perhitungan Kill Mud Weight (KMW) berdasarkan nilai SIDPP pada setiap skenario shut-in. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa semakin lama shut-in dilakukan, semakin besar kenaikan SIDPP, SICP, dan pit gain, yang secara langsung meningkatkan kebutuhan KMW dan tingkat kesulitan proses well killing. Sebaliknya, shut-in yang cepat mampu membatasi influx dan menekan kenaikan tekanan, sehingga proses well control dapat dilakukan dengan lebih aman dan efisien. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kecepatan respons terhadap indikasi kick men-jadi faktor krusial dalam menjaga keselamatan operasi pemboran.
